Our Vision
At Cornerstone we preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our vision is to grow spiritually and be true followers of Christ. We desire to serve and love others as Christ loved us. The real growth in Christ is the increase of God’s life in you. 1 Peter 2:2 - Desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby.
We Grow
Achieving spiritual maturity is our top priority. We believe there are four ways to grow.
2. Confess and Clear up Things that Keep Us Separate from Him
3. Exercise Our Spirit Daily – Pray, Study His Word and Sing Praises to Him
4. Stay in Contact With Him
We Connect
Deepening our understanding of God naturally leads to an insatiable hunger for an intimate relationship with Jesus. We start with sharing and confessing our sins and vulnerabilities through prayer. Over time, the bond between you and God will strengthen. We were meant for intimacy with Jesus. It is the most important calling today, and for eternity. We believe that Jesus will accept anyone who seeks Him. He will give you what you need to build an intense, intimate relationship with him.
We Serve
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15). What does that mean? The Christian has been saved to serve. We are called to serve God and the Lord Jesus Christ and we are called to serve our brothers and sisters and those n the world. We believe that should serve with humility and gratitude.
Peter addresses the importance of serving God in 1 Peter 4:10-11: “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.” Peter makes it clear that we have received our gifts from God for two purposes— to serve others and to bring praise to God. Serving isn’t about us receiving attention or glory; it is for Him to receive glory.
